Chas Everitt celebrated their 67 Minutes for Madiba Day by giving back to their community.

Ekuphumleni Old Age Home in Zwide is an old age home associated with the Port Elizabeth Association for the Aged which accommodates 60 very vulnerable, permanent residents who are entirely dependent on Ekupumleni for their well-being.

Chas Everitt Port Elizabeth/Eastern Cape and Garden Route feel just as strongly as group MD, Berry Everitt, that each individual forming part of the team should do their part to contribute towards changing the world into a better place and not leave it up to someone else.

As a result of this, we committed to the “67 Minutes” campaign by handing over 120 blankets to the Ekuphumleni Old Age Home in Zwide on Mandela Bay.

Together with Algoa FM, Brighton Superspar, KFC and some other sponsors, Mandela Day for these 60 residents was made truly special.  They were treated with lunch & colddrinks, fruit parcels, toiletries, blankets, etc.

A further 80 blankets were donated to the local disaster relief fund for those less fortunate who were affected by the recent floods in Port Elizabeth.
